Half-Day Trip — 5 Hours
€220 for 1 person
A five-hour guided fly-fishing trip, ideal for anglers who want to fish one part of the day or combine fishing with other activities during their stay in Slovenia.

Permit prices vary between rivers and fishing areas. On guided days I usually arrange the permits for you and add them to the price. For days you fish on your own, I’ll tell you where to buy them and send you the link to buy them online.

If you are travelling without fishing gear, rental equipment can be arranged.

Trips are suitable for both experienced fly anglers and people who are new to fly fishing.
The fishing location, technique and difficulty are adapted to your experience and expectations.
Whether you want to learn the basics, improve your technique, target a particular species or simply spend a day on a beautiful Slovenian river, the trip can be tailored around you.
Why Fish With a Local Guide?
Slovenia may be a small country, but its rivers offer very different fishing experiences.
Water levels, temperatures, weather and fishing conditions can change quickly. Having a local guide means we can choose the river and section that makes the most sense for the conditions on the day.
You also get local knowledge that is difficult to find in a guidebook — from where to fish and which techniques to use to understanding seasonal conditions and river regulations.
Where to Stay
Most of the rivers I guide on are 30–60 minutes from Ljubljana, and pickup and drop-off are included, so Ljubljana is a good base without a car. Only the upper Soča around Bovec is further, about 1 hour 45 minutes; if you want to fish mainly the Soča, stay in the Soča valley.
I don’t book accommodation or take commissions. Tell me your dates and where you’re thinking of staying, and I’ll tell you whether it works for the rivers you have in mind.
Fishing Several Days
I can guide the same group for several days, fishing a different river each day — for example the Soča, Sava Bohinjka, Vipava and Idrijca over four days. Each day is charged at the normal daily rate, and equipment rental is 40% off on multi-day trips.
You can also mix guided and independent days: fish one or two days with me to learn the water, then fish on your own. I’ll tell you where to go and where to buy permits, and you can reach me by phone.
Payment & Booking
No deposit is required for 2027 bookings.
Payment is made after the fishing trip.
